Cricket 1888

178 CRICKET i A WEEKLY EECORD OF THE GAME. JUNE 7, 1888. he has gained even a higher reputation- Since he was seventeen years of age, he has played in the first Twenty of his club, and his record on the football field is a most distinguished one. He was Vice-capcain of the South Ballarat team, when they were the premiers of the Western District, and has for the last three years acted as captain of the Fitzroy Club, one of the principal clubs of Victoria. He is one of the first three football players of his Colony, and at the same time one of the most popular of Victorian athletes. At the General Meeting of the Fitzroy Club last year he was presented by the members with a gold watch and chain, and the night before he left Australia with a diamond locket in appre ciation of his services and personal worth. Mr. Worrall is employed on the Melbourne Age , and, we believe, is acting as its correspondent with the Australian team. Our portrait is from a photograph by Gillman and Co., of Oxford. NORTHBROOK v.
