E m m e r s o n , well-known in con nection with the Clapton Cricket Club, leaves for New Zealand to-day in the steamer “ Ruapelin.” The special train leaves Fen- church Street for Royal Albert Docks at 11.45 a.m. D u r in g the summer,W. C. Collins (aged 16), of Dane Hill House, Margate, took 115 wickets at a cost of 663 runs, or 5.7 runs a-piece. Among his best performances were :—18 overs, 8 maidens, 23 runs, 8 wickets; 10.1— 6—4—5; 6.1-2—9— 6 ; 9.1—3—1 3 -6 ; 6 .1 -6 - 0—4 (including hat trick); 6.4—5—3—3; 13.2— "I—15—6. He also obtained 5 wickets for 16 runs for Greenhithe v. Dartmouth Park, which club was in the final tie for the “ Sportsman” Challenge Cup. JUST OUT.
