After the termination of the Irish Tour the Incogs paid their annual visit to Llanfair fechan to meet Mr. Sydney Platt’s team at Bryn-y-neuadd, where they were as usual most hospitably and sumptuously entertained. Unfortunately the long-continued spell of fine weather broke up at the commencement of the week, and the cricket was, consequently, much interfered with and marred. Both teams were strong, and the Incogs found arrayed against them many friends and members of their own club, two of whom, Leatham and Wells-Cole, helped materially to secure their defeat. The first match was a well fought out one, and resulted in the victory of the home eleven by 29 runs only. The second match was played through a constant succession of heavy showers, and was finally drawn somewhat against the visitors who had 104 runs to get, with five wickets to fall. With this match ended the season of 1837, during which the Incogniti have played 44 matches, of which they won 19, lost 16, and 9 were drawn. INCOGNITI v. BRYN-Y-NEUADD.
