Within a quarter-of-an- hour of the time for drawing stumps Yalding required 13 runs to win. Through a mistake of the scorers, however, the match was called as won when but 12 runs had been added. The players retired, but upon closer examina tion of the score another run was found to be necessary for victory, and the extraordinary sight was witnessed of wickets being again pitched within a few minutes of seven o’clock. Yalding had two more men to go in to make the requisite run, but this they failed to accom plish, and the match resulted in a tie. G. L. W il s o n , playing for Brighton College v. Brighton Club, on May 28, took 6 wickets, all clean bowled, for 10 runs. IEON TURNSTILES. As supplied to all the principal Cricket and Football Clubs throughout Great Britain.
