The ground was, as was only to be expected, heavy, after the recent rains, and the bowlers had things mostly their own way. Altogether on Thursday thircy-one wickets fell for an aggregate of 185 runs. The bowling of Mr. W. G. Grace and Rylott proved too much for the Colts; ndUe df whoni got into double figures. The latter was the more successful, taking nine wickets at an average of just over two runs. M.C.C. AND G. First Innings. Second Innings. Dr. W. G.
