Matches played 36—won 17, lost 9, drawn 10. The above club has again had a most suc cessful season, winning 17 matches, losing 9, and the majority of the remainder being drawn greatly in the club’s favour. The club has scored 7,802 runs for the loss of 366 wickets, or an average of 21.116 per wicket, against 5,986 runs for 397 wickets, or an average of 15.31 per wicket. Although not at the head of the averages, the best batting has been shown by Mr. W. B. Pattisson, who has played in consistently good form throughout the season, and has the splendid average of 40.9 for 16 completed innings. Mr. P. C. Parr’s all round play should also be mentioned, having an average of 34 for 12 completed innings, and taken 40 wickets at a cost of a little over 15 runs per wicket. In addition to the above, Messrs. F. G. Oliver, W. H. Patterson, L. A. Shuter, G. C. and A. O. Hubbard, J. N. Tonge, D. D. Pontifex and Rev. R. T. Thornton have all played well, as a glance at the averages will show. In bowling, Mr. O. Evans (slow- round), although rather expensive at times, has taken by far the largest number of wickets (69), and has been of the greatest service to the club. Messrs. Tonge, Parish, C. T. Boosey and H. E. Bouch also deserve a word of praise for their successful bowling; whilst Messrs. A. J. Thornton, G. Hilder and A. D. Blyth, although playing but seldom, show an exceedingly good analysis. The following centuries have been scored for the club during the season:— May 5th v. Bromley.—F. G. Oliver, 144. May 19th v. Kensington Park.—Rev. R. T. Thoraton, 160. June 12th v. Chislehurst.—G. C. Hubbard, 103. June 12th v. Chislehurst.—G. C. Boosey, 101. June 26th v. Esher.—W. H. Patterson, 110. July 10th v. Richmond.—W. B. Pattisson, 111. July 24th v. Gore Court.—Rev. R. T. Thornton, 100. July 24th v. Gore Court.—A. J. Thornton, 118. July 31st v. Upper Tooting.—W. B. Patis- son, 118. The following are a few notable bowling performances:— May 5th v. Bromley—J. N. Tonge, 13.3 overs, 6 maidens, 15 runs, 6 wickets. May 8th v. Upper Tooting.—O. Evans, 19.4 overs, 13 maidens, 19 runs, 8 wickets. May 15th v. Old Eastbournians.—G. C. Boosey, 4 overs, 2 maidens, 3 runs, 4 wickets. May 22nd v. Plaistow.—G. Hilder, 8.3 o?ers, 5 maidens, 4 runs, 7 wickets. May 22nd v. Plaistow.—R. Hilder, 8 over3, 5 maidens, 3 runs, 3 wickets. June 19th v. Plaistow.—A. D. Blyth, 9 2 overs, 5 maidens, 9 runs, 4 wickets. June 19th v. Plaistow.—H. E. Bouch, 9*1 overs, 2 maidens, 15 runs, 5 wickets. T im es M ost in Inns, n ot out. R uns, an Inns. Aver. F. G. O liver ... 3 ... 0 .. 175 ... 144 .. 58-1 W . H.
