Bannerman intimating that he intended, selected to play against Victoria, to play as a profes- >nal, and charge £15 and his expenses for his services, is gave rise to a considerable discussion, and the lDion of the meeting appeared to be that A. Banner- in should not receive the £15 and his pay as a Govern- servant while absent. Mr Gregory explained that other occasirns Bannermau had received his pay as a sessional, while he was being paid his wages by the Terument. Nearly all those who ad Jressed the meet- I condemned Bannerman’s action, the chairman iractensing it as a gross impropriety.
