IN COGN IT I IN T H E W E S T OF ENGLAND . The annual tour of the Incogs in the West of England commenced on August 2 at Clifton, •where an exciting match ended in a draw. The next match v. Lansdown, at Bath, was also drawn, as were also those at Torquay and at Sidmouth against the Ishmaelites. The Wanderers were badly beaten by the Sidmouth Club, who were as usual very strong, but an enjoyable tour was wound up with a grand victory at Exmouth in the face of all proba bilities. Only three-quarters of an hour were left to get 68 runs, but so fast did Thornton and Fox score that they were knocked off in half-an-hour. The team was generally strong in batting, but somewhat weak in bowling. The scores of the matches are appended. IN C O G N IT I v. C L IF T O N . P la y e d a t C lifto n o n A u g u st 2 a n d 3.
