266 CKicKEtf! a W eekly record op the game . JULt 8,1886. THE CR IPPLES’ TOUR. After the Oxford Term The Cripples had their usual week’s cricketing in Northampton shire. It is peculiar that though beaten in the first three matches by not very strong teams, the two last and best matches both ended favourably. They only wanted ten minutes more to win the match v. Rushden, who were by far their strongest opponents, and tho match v. the Northamptonshire County Club and Ground ended in an easy victory. F. B. Hawkins had an average of 80.3 for the week, and in bowling Sutton took 27 wickets for 246 runs and Harding 19 for 176 runs. In the last match, v. the County Club, Messrs. Hawkins and Bull scored 66 runs of! the first eleven overs, tho former in one over making a two, three fours, and a single. THE CRIPPLES v. OUNDLE SCHOOL. Played at Oundle on June 2d.
