Cricket 1886
214 CRIOKET: A WEEKLY RECORD OF THE GAME. JUNE 24,1886. has fully maintained his reputation as a bowler, and both for the Marylebone Club as well as the County, done excellent service. H e has indeed at the present tim e few super iors. W ootton is a left handed bowler of almost medium pace. Though small in stature—he is 5 ft. 6 in. in height—his delivery ishigh, and when the wicket favours the ball this helps him considerably. Though he generally breaks back his best ball comes with his arm, and as, in addition, he varies his pitch and pace well, he requires very careful watching. H e is a patient bat with good defence which has been of no small use to the County on occasions. H e is, too, a good field anywhere. LONDON H O S P IT A L v. KENSINGTON .
