(Compiled from C ricket .) Jan. 3.—Gillear v. Allansford State Schools (Yictori*). Gillear scored 9 (six extras) and 1 . Jan. 22.—For English Team v. XXII. of Moss Vale, B. Peel, the Yorkshire bowler, took 18 wickets at a cost of 7 runs, thirteen of them clean towled. Moss Vale XXII. only scored 14, the smallest score, with one exception, made against an English Team in Australia. — —In a match (one-innings) between the Union and the Press Clubs in Au-tralia each side totalled 32. The previous match played between these clubs resulted in a tie, 32 being scored by each side, Feb. 11.—Melbourne Club v. Players and Caretakers. Mr. G. F. Vernon scored 226 for the former out of a total of 481, Feb. 21.—Adelaide. South v. North Ade laide Clubs. G. Giffen and W. Blinman scored 105 runs wanted to win by South without losing a wioket. March 14.—In a match at Adelaide, Austra lia, between South Parks and Kent Towns, J. Watson scored 21 from 4 balls (S-5-5-3). March 28.—-Melbourne, Melbourne v. Carltoa Club. Latter were dismissed for 9, eight batsmen failing to score. April 6 .—P. Coles scored 105 for Jackson’s team v. J. Hide’s team at East bourne—first century of the English season. April — .—Birley Colliery v. KiUamarsh West End. West End scored four runs. April — .—For Huddersfield United v. Almondbury, H. Johnson carried out his bat through the innings for 122 out of 185. April — .—Langhorne’s Bridge v. Wood- chester, South Australia. F. How- lett clean bowed seven of the latter with successive balls. April 1.—Melbourne, Melbourne Club v. Fifteen of Broadmeadows. Mel bourne scored 628 for seven wickets. April 11. —In a match between Merton Institute and Merton Excelsior at Mitcham, King took five Excelsior wickets with five consecutive balls. May 2.—Playing at Sutton-in-Ashfield for the Midland Hosiery Club, F. Ren- shaw took all ten wickets for 1 run — 8 clean bowled. Analysis, 21 balls, 3 maidens, 1 run, 10 wickets. May 2.—Playing for St. Mark’s against Hunslet Mills, H. H. Stabler took all ten wickets in the latter’s innings. May 2.—Walton C. and G. v. Bootle C. and G. C. T. Ramsey carried his bat through the former’s innings for 16 out of 38. May 2.—West Kent Wanderers v. South Wimbledon. S. Dixon carried his bat through latter’s innings for 52 out of 146. May 7.—Malta, 1 st Batt. Hants Regt. v. Royal Artillery. The former scor d 597, and 886 run 3 were totalled for twenty wiokets. Four batsmen scored over a hundred—-W. G. Wyld 218, Corp. Cairns 131 not out, and Lieut. Westmoreland 103 for Hampshire Regiment, and Bom bardier Hayward 113 for R.A. May 9.—Playing for Commercial Union Assurance v. Waverley II., F. F. Kelly took six wickets for 2 runs— this 2 being made from the last over he bowled. May 9.—A. W. Allen, for Croydon v. Lyn combe, took four wickets in four consecutive balls. May 11.—Mr. W. W. Bead and Abel put on 181 runs for the second wicket of Surrey against Essex at the Oval. May 14.—OxfortJ, Magdalen v. Brasenose. Magdalen scored 551 for 9 wickets. Mayl 6 .—Egremont,Egremont v. Birkenhead. Egremont in second innings did not score a run from the bat. The total of two was made up of a wide and a leg-bye. May 18.—Oxford, M.C.C. and G. v. Oxford University. Mr. E. J. C.
