A U G . 2 0 .1 8 8 5 . CRICKET; A WEEKLY RECORD OP THE GAME. 351 L E A T H E R H E A D C R IC K E T W E E K The L.C,C. have had a mo3t successful week, having won all the matches. This success is principally due to the excellent bowling of Messrs. Sburt and F. Gr. Lucas, and to the batting of E. M. Lucas, Langton, Brookes and Scott. The closest and most exciting game was with Streatham, when the brilliant hitting of F. Sturt for the last wicket (which required 47 run^) pulled the match out of the fire and gained a victory for Leatherhead by 6 runs. That harbinger of good luck, “ the Old Rook,” appearadon the ground every day, but he came very late on Friday. LEATHERHEAD v. WIMBLEDON. Played at Leatherhead on August 3.
