Lancashire gained its second victory of the season over Sussex, at Manchester, on Tuesday, winning by 154 runs. The scoring on both sides, considering that there was nothing in the wicket to help the bowlers materially, was surprisingly small. Alto gether forty wickets only realised an aggregate of 472, an average of less than twelve runs, and Robinson’s Sfcond score of 39 for Lancashire was the highest of the match. Arthur Hide’s 15 wa3 the only double figure in the first innings of Sussex. The bowling figures of Barlow and Jesse Hide for their respective sides were note worthy. The former’s, though, were con siderably the better of the two. He took in all eleven wickets at acost of only 67 runs. L a n c a s h ir e . First Innings. Seoond Innings. Mr, A. N. Hornby, b J.
