The match between two elevens of Fresh­ men, captained respectively by Messrs. Bastard and Page, occupied the first three days of this w'eek. Cochrane, Nepean and Bradford showed the best batting for the former, and D’Aeth, Copleston, and Murdoch for the latter. Cochrane, Dent, Lester, Soames, and Thomas were the most success­ ful bowlers.
