Lucas bowled in one innings, taking one wicket in nine overs for 80 runs. T h e following curiosities occurred in two matches on August 13 and 14. In the first match, Inval v. Haslemere, H. Chisholm for tho former in Haslemere’s second innings, performed the hat trick, taking four wickets in four successive balls, and altogether six for five runs. On the next day for Inval v. Northchapel he took 7 wickets for 7 runs in the latter’s second innings. For Inval in Northchapel’s first innings, W. J. Hay- craffc performed the hat trick, and the first five wickets fell for 0. J, Taylor, in Inval’s second innings, also j)erformed the hat trick. Seven wickets were down for four runs, but the total reached 36 by the aid of W. J. Haycraft (not out 26) and 4 extras.
