LANCASHIRE. Leicestershire, though only opposed by a moderate eleven of Lancash re. had all the worst of this match played at Leicester on Thursday last and two following days. Though they won the toss and had the first use of a perfect wicket, they were all dis missed for 115, of which Warren contributed 37. The same professional was again the principal scorer when they went in again, and his play was indeed tbe only redeeming feature of the Leicestershire batting. Bar- low, for the second time within a week, made over a hundred for Lancashire, and he was in altogether nearly five hours. He ought to have been caught at the wicket early in his innings, but his 119 was on the whole a good display with more freedom than is usually associated with his batting. Lancashire won by an innings and 62 runs. L e ic e ste r sh ir e . First Innings. W. H. H .y, b Barlow Wheeler, c Crossland, B a rlow ..................... C. C.
