Lancashire, though only poorly represented, beat its neighbour of Cheshire easily at Man chester on Tuesday, with nine wickets to spare. The chief feature of the match was the excellent batting of Mr. O. P. Lancashire. He only gave one chance in his long score of 119. Though they were 171 behind, Cheshire made a good show when they went in a second time, and Lancashire had to make 38 to win. Mr. S. Hollins’ 67 was a first class display of batting. C h e sh ir e .
