Several Manufac turers have for a h u n d r e d years, doubtless, used the best material and labour at their command, but one find all have sacri ficed durability to beauty, and in their endeavour to produce a hand- Bomo looking ball l.avo introduced such an excessiv£ number of fin* ftit'-hes that good leather is positive ly cut to pieces, while the virtues <f old fashioned cobblers’ wax have been altogether ignored and given piHte to wax which lias nothing but i s olear whi!<o colour to recom mend it. An ex- umiration of any worn-out Cricket Ball will show that it died of two c o m p l a i n t s—in the swelling of the quilt, or inside, and the bursting of the stitches, the latter being the natural con sequences of the former. W e have pleasure in stating we have discovered a remedy for this t w e - f o l d c o m plaint. W e can pre vent the swelling o f the quilt , or inside, and wt (juxrantee th’>t all Malls bearing the above biand Ite th*ir form better than any otliei Ball. There Balls have obtained numerous testimonials, and are giving universal satis faction. They are used by the principal cricketers and clubs, and are acknowledged by the best bowlers to be unequalled. They can be obtained of all Athletic Outfitters throughout the world, and wholesale of the Manufacturers. All should see that the Balls bear this mark without which none are genuine.
