MAY 10,1883. CRICKET; A WEEKLY RECORD OF THE GAME. 91 VICTORIA v. SOUTH AUSTRALIA. The first match between elevens represent ing these Colonies was played on the East Melbourne ground at Melbourne on March 24, 25 and 57. The result was an easy win for Victoria by an innings and 98 runs. The South Australians went in first on a good wicket, but they made a poor show against the bowling of Palmer and Boyle, and they were all out for twenty-three, ten batsmen only contributing four runs. Noel went in first, and was sixth out with score at twenty. On starting Palmer bowled twenty balls for no runs and four wickets. Score and analysis:— V ictoria . H. F.
