The Somrrsetshire eleven gained their only victory of the season at Taunton on Friday, •when t-iev defeated Hampshire by five wickets. This result was mainly due to the effective bowling of Fothergill and Mr. A. H. Evans, and the brilliant batting of Mr. F, W. Terry on the first day.
