He succeeded as 6 th Baron in 1867 and was Lord-Lieut. of Selkirk and president of Selkirk Territorial Force Association. July 14 th, 1920.— R e v . C a n o n E d w a r d B u s h T r o t t e r (Small Houses, 18562— 18571) was fourth son of A^xarider Trotter, of Dreghorn. Christ’s College, Cambridge, B.A. 1865; M.A. 1869 , Vicar of Alnwick, Northumberland 1869-90; Rector of St. Stephen’s, Savana Grande, Trinidad, 1890-1901; Archdeacon of Trinidad 1896-1903; Archdeacon of Western Downs, and Canon Brisbane Cathedral, 1903-7 ; Anglican Chaplain in Venezuela, and Canon of Trinidad, 1907; J.P., Northumberland; late Chaplain Northumberland Artillery Militia; V.D. July 24th, 1920.— J o h n F r e d e r i c k S t a n c o m b e (Small Houses, 18622— 18652) died at Shaw House, Melksham,^ Wilts. He went to Caius College, Cambridge, and took his B.A. in 1870 and M A. in 1873, when he became a Barrister. He was at one time a Lieutenant in the Wiltshire Yeomanry, and was a J .P . and D.L. for Wilts. July 2Sth, 1920.— T h o m a s P o p h a m S a i n s b u r y (Rendalls, 18552— 18582) was the last surviving son of the late Charles Sams- bury, of Swainswick, Bath, and died at Elgin House, Spring Grove, near Isleworth. August 3rd, 1920.— J o h n S a n c r o f t H o l m e s (Rendalls, 1862— 18662) was the son of W . H . Holmes ( O .H .) , °f Gawdy Hall, Harleston, Norfolk. He was in the Football X I. in^1865 and went up to Trinity, Cambridge, taking his B .A m 1869 and M.A. in 1874 He was J.P. and D.L., Norfolk and Suffolk, and was at one time Lieut.-Col. Norfolk Artillery Militia.
