I. Thornton, not out, 165. YORKSHIRE v. DERBYSHIRE. The Derbyshire eleven made a poor show in this match at Sheffield, on Monday and Tues­ day last, and were beaten by an innings and three runs. Tliis result was mainly due to the effective bowling of Harrison, Peate, and Peel.
