Owing to an injury receive1to his hand, at Bradford, early in the week against Yorkshire, Woof was not able to )lay, and the loss of his bowling was very severely felt by the Western team. Despite that Mr. W. G. Grace failed to score, they were able to realise a creditable total of 2*29, but this i proved altogether insufficient in the weakness of their bowling, and ns will be seen by the ippended score the} were beaten by an innings aud tLirty-four runs. Walter Wright carried his bat through the Nottingham innings. He vvas in on Thursday night and was not out on Saturday afternoon. G loucestershire . ..110 First Innings. W. G.
