The match of the week was on Wednesday, when the club defeated a very powerful eleven brought by Mr. F, G. Lucas. Mr. S, W . Scott again made centuries; ho has now made four consecutivo scores of 150,117, 115 and 116. Mr. Spencel also scored well. Mr. P. M. Walters kept wicket throughout the week admirably, taking fast and slow bowling alike without a long-stop. Mr. Wright’s excellent bowling was also another fea­ ture in the week.
