ENGLISH RESIDENTS. The annual match between an American eleven and the English residents in America was played at Nicetown, U.S., on July 3 and 4. The scoring was above the average and the game was drawn with 719 runs scored for 35 wickets D. S. Newhall won the bat offered for the best average in the match. One of the best features in the game was the bowling of Lowry for the Americans. In the second innings of the English men he cot all five wickets at a cost of only twelve runs. A mericans .
