The Stygians had a fairly successful week at Oxford, winning two matches easily, losing two badly, losing a well-contested one, and drawing one slightly in their favour. Considerable annoyance and inconvenience were caused to the manager, Mr. Shirley, by members promising to play and not turning up. The most successful batsmen were Messrs. Shirley and Bridges.
