Ecclesall Carlton heat Aston Ilall, scoring 47 (seven wickets) to 36. ^St. Michael’s beat Independent, scoring 51 to Eckington Works beat Lockwood Brothers. Harthill beat Gannow Lane, scoring 71 to 66. Carbrook beat Springvale, scoring 131 to 32. Hallam and Staveley Hartington. Latter refused to play on Saturday and was disquali­ fied. Nether Hallam Rangers and Aldwark Main should have played at Bramall Lane Ground, but the turf was unfit, and the committee have decided that both clubs shall compete in the next round. The draw for the second round took place on Saturday evening, and the following was the re­ sult :— Eeclesall Carlton v. Nether Hallam Bangers. Benishaw Works v. Shiregreen. Aldwark Main v. Pitsmoor. Carbrook v. Eckington Works. Harthill v. Eckington Half-way Houses. Elsecar v. Hallam. Handsworth Woodhouse v. St. Michael’s.
