Played 'at Vincent-square on July 8, and ended in a victory for the School by 31 runs on the first innings, Roller (39), Tritton (32), and Higgins (30) being mainly instrumental in bringing about this result. The latter also obtained 21 in his second innings, in his usual free style. The visitors, who 'lost three wickets for one run at starting, were best represented by P. R. Toynbee (who played a fine ‘nnings of 40), and C. Y. Bedford, who hit hard for a useful 23. After the heavy rain in the morning the wickets played very slow, and runs were hard to obtain. Umpires, T.
