LANCASHIRE v. NOTTS. The Liverpool Club was again very unfortunate ; in the weather on tlie occasion of this its one county match of the year, played on its ground on Thurs- : day last and two following days. A thunderstorm on the first morning delayed a commencement, and rain also stopped the game for some time on the second afternoon. Barlow again did a good per formance, going in first and carrying out his bat for 44 out of 93. At the end of an innings Notts were 71 to the good, but most of the Lancashire batsmen scored well when they went in a second time, and, as the ground played, their score of 188 was , a very creditable performance. Notts had lost four good wickets for 23 out of 95 wanted to win . when play ceased, and as the game was left there •was little to favour either side. Mr. W . S. Pat- . terson reappeared in the Lancashire eleven, after an absence of several years. Score and analyses L ancashire . First Innings. Mr. A N.
