Cricket 1882
JULY 20, 1882. CRICKET; A WEEKLY RECORD OF THE GAME. 161 (medium round) though he kept in a good length, only got one wicket, but his was by no means the worst of the Eton bowling, which on the whole was weak. Harrow in this department were stronger, as Sanderson (slow round) and Moncreiffe were better than any two of the Etonians, and the former was perhaps the best bowler in the two elevens. The fielding was not up to the best Public School standard on either side, though some allowance must be made for the state of the ground. On the first day 7,822 persous paid at the gate, on the second 5,667. H arrow . First Innings. Hon. E. W. H. Ward, b Brownlow 25 R.
