Great Cricket Matches 1772-1800: The Players and The Records

The post-1800 details are based on the matches published by the ACS in its series of match scores with the addition of one in 1802 (Lennox’s XI v Leycester’s XI at Lord’s) which had not been discovered at the time these ACS volumes were compiled. However, the 1803 match between H.C.Woolridge’s XI and the Hon. W.R.Capel’s XI, originally included in the ACS classification, has since been removed as it has recently been shown to be a Rickmansworth club game; therefore it has been ignored here. 7
