Kent had Fennex as a given man. At the close of day 2, T.Walker, Small, sen, Taylor and Beldham were the men out. Writing in the 1830s, J.Nyren recalled this as his first great match. However, his memory is demonstrably faulty on other points, so an appearance earlier in 1787 has also been attributed to him (Smith v Winchilsea, 16 July).
