121 (iii) Simultaneous home matches With so many double-headers in Pakistan – and particularly in Karachi and Lahore – it will come as little surprise to find that there have been numerous occasions when an organisation has played two simultaneous matches at home - or on one occasion three, as noted in the first entry in the preceding table. In fact there have been over 100 such instances, the great majority in the two main centres, but also including three in Rawalpindi. There are too many instances to set out the details here. The first was on 25-27 January 1957, when Karachi Blues played Railways at the Karachi Gymkhana Ground at the same time as the Karachi Greens were playing Sind at the Karachi Parsi Institute Ground. The pattern has continued right up to the 2012/13 season, which featured six such instances, three involving the Karachi teams and three involving those from Lahore.
