The game between Worcestershire and Hampshire was also drawn. Hampshire were left to get 282 in 95 minutes, but did manage 147- 0 in the time with J.Stone, top scorer in the first innings with 83, adding 100 not out. James Stone was another ageing professional who would not come back after the war. The Hon Andrew Mulholland made another hundred in the second innings for the Household Brigade in his last appearance for which there is a record.
