Biographies Multiply in Canterbury since 1978, is a regular contributor to the Kent C.C.C. Yearbook and is co-author of the most recent Appendix to the Harris Kent History. Roger Heavens, born in East Ham in 1948, is a land surveyor by profession. He compiled the Arthur Haygarth booklet in the ACS series, but he is better known as a publisher of cricket books. His firm undertook the re-publication of the 15 volumes of Haygarth’s S&B and then published, for the first time, both Volume 16 and Volume 17 in the style of the originals. He has also published indices to each of the earlier volumes. He also published the first volume of Ian Maun’s From Commons to Lord’s. Peter Griffiths, born in Mansfield in 1948, was the co-author of three ‘Famous Cricketers’, James Lillywhite, John Wisden and Ivo Bligh. Griffiths was educated at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School, Mansfield and Manchester University. He co-authored Volume 2 of Padwick’s Bibliography of Cricket with Stephen Eley, published in 1991. Between 1997 and 1999 he was joint compiler of five volumes of the ACS First- Class Match List , which effectively merged the individual First-Class Guides into a uniform series. Like Heavens he has also published books, most notably the series of county record books. His main expertise is in computer programming and he currently runs CricketArchive, which has on its site the detailed scores of all major matches as well as numerous lesser games. In addition the site contains biographical and statistical details for all players who appeared in major matches, plus sundry other cricketers. Griffiths was a member of the ACS Committee from 1993 to 2008. Wesley Harte, born in Crawfordsburn, Co.Down, and educated at the Methodist College, Belfast, is a retired Civil Servant. He has compiled four books in the Famous Cricketers series – M.P.Donnelly, B.Sutcliffe, C.S.Dempster and R.J.Hadlee. Brian Stanley Bassano, born in East London, South Africa in 1936, compiled the book on G.A.Faulkner.
