Laws of Cricket 1947 Code - Law 15
The Captain of the Batting side may declare an innings closed in a match of three days or more, at any time on the second and succeeding days; in a two-day match, at any time but on the first day not later than 1 hour and 40 minutes before the hour agreed for drawing stumps; in a one-day match, at any time.
